Compass Coordinate Command Maker Tool

Make a compass point to preset coordinates, with this generator you can set a location using the lodestone tag. A lodestone compass points at a saved spot instead of world spawn. Map makers use it to aim a compass at any coordinates, including places where no lodestone was ever placed (so long as tracked is set to false).

Enter coordinates to generate the command, by default tracking is intentionally turned off so the compass will track without needing to place a lodestone. When tracking is set on (or the game default), a setblock is also generated for the lodestone.

A few quirks for lodestone compasses:

• The needle shows the horizontal direction toward X and Z. It does not show how high the spot is.
• Y still matters when tracking is on, because the lodestone has to be on that exact block.
• Coordinates are not converted between worlds. A Nether compass points at Nether coordinates, not Overworld coordinates divided by eight.
• If the position or dimension is missing, the compass spins.
